Good day to you all,
Just another hot day here but the upside is I got out of work an hour early and the weekend has started. Sadly, I ma not looking forward to tomorrow, I need to help my sister move. They are saying tomorrow is going to be a high of 94 F and humid. Not what I would call moving weather. I have been drinking extra water today to try and be as hydrated as well as I can be.
Pelosi crying about the Supreme Court ruling to stop the eviction moratorium. Look I feel bad for people who truly are in hard times right now but that should have never been a thing in the first place. The CDC had no legal right to make that a thing. I also question many of them on why they cannot pay their rent. With all the bonuses to unemployment how were they not paying their rent?
I was out of work for 7 months and managed to pay mine and save a bunch of money. I didn’t go blowing a lot of money. I didn’t see that money and a way to buy new toys.

@LadyDuck Right, I am all for helping those truly in need, hell I have been in a bad situation in the past so I get it sometimes things just happen but if it's just because you are to lazy and don't want to try and help yourself well then you can live in a ditch somewhere for all I care.

Haven't you seen the stock prices of Home Depot and Lowe's? Based on phenomenal sales during the pandemic, their stock has been climbing every so skyward. Because everybody has been spending their stimulus checks at the home improvement stores, instead of paying their rent and mortgages.

@Bensen32 Trust me, I see it too. I just shake my head at the stuff people are blowing their money on.

@moffittjc Well you can't fix stupid. These people doing this cause they think they will never get evicted but aren't they going to owe all that back rent at some point?

We live in a world where people are no longer being held accountable for their actions. During this time, I've been paying my mortage. Why? Because I had the money, planned to pay it, and didn't want it coming back to bite me. I'm in a position to pay my mortage off, completely. And, come December, that's exactly what I plan to do. I will then start putting money away to pay taxes and insurance next year.
I might've made my mistakes growing up, but I was taught responsibility. We're living in a generation of people who, for some reason, spend money like it's going out of style then think the government is going to save them from themselves.

You are not wrong, I'm not sure where or how this all started but you use to work for what you got not depend on someone or the government to hand it out to you.
I figure I got maybe 20-30 years left and I am really hoping our country does not implode on itself before then.
