Healthy Snack: Garlic Chips

Since I went out today, I also bought some garlic chips to munch from time to time. The main benefit of this is to help decrease blood pressure for hypertensive people, which I am right now. But then, you need to brush your teeth after having them in your system. You know what I mean about the after-taste thing and the odor itself. Have you tried to eat this kind of snack?

Garlic has various health benefits but definitely a repelling smell. Is it garlic slices made into chips or garlic added to regular chips?

They are purely thinned sliced fried cloves of garlic. The feeling is like eating fried peanuts.

I can relate to you about the garlic smell. It will be gone when having a shower at night before hopping into the bed.

Even I don't like fried garlic. Since I am on the borderline of hypertension, I need to have some.

@rakski This is what I am trying to do. It is not the usual thing to eat a lot and needs more exercise. At first, I am in denial of being hypertensive. Now, I am fine with it.

I think you can find how to do it on the Internet. All I know is that you can just fry them up.

@Shavkat Ok. Once, my friend mucrowaved a whole garlic and began to peel & eat it. As I was staring at her, she gave me a clove. I peeled and ate it. Almost no taste, but gushy.

I am not sure when it originates that vampires hate the cloves of garlic. But I had seen the idea in so many films. Do you often have them?

@DocAndersen I do love eating potato chips and the like but need to lessen them, too. It is not good to have a huge amount of sodium in the body.

I've put garlic chips in viands as toppings but never had it for a snack. Why don't you try eating fresh garlic instead? No need to chew, just swallow it.

I do agree with you. It is really best to brush one's teeth after munching them.

No amount of brushing is good to remove garlic breath smell. Some foods eaten together with garlic seems to destroy the others, mint leaves, basil leaves and apples as an example.

Are they like pickles, or in oil, or crispy fried. Yes, if you eat a lot of garlic the odor stays with you, but it does help with many health problems.

We eat garlic regularly by adding them in our curry. But as chips, no. However I do know the odor factor.

In my humble opinion, you can make them at home. It is not that hard to fry them in thinly sliced. I also love eating curry but not that spicy so to speak. Are you from India? If I may ask...
