Multitasking is not or me.

I used to be able to do several things at the same time. And I did not forget any of them.
But age is a bad company. And my arteries are not what they were, specially not since I had chemotherapy.
There are side effects. And one of them is that memory is not the same.
I have decided not to worry and say that my intelligence lies in accepting these things without feeling bad. Such is life, I say, just like the pain in my feet due to peripheric neuropathy (another side effect of chemo) appears every day.
Chemotheraphy was not free but neither was cancer. And here I am, over 10 years after I was diagnosed with a stage 4 lymphoma.
Still, the memory loss gives me problems. I put some potatoes to boil and decided to ask for some groceries online.
Fortunatly they were simmering at the minimum and I decided to go to the pantry to see if I needed something else. Nothing bad happened now, but other times I have eaten baked potatoes
I am absolutly sure that in a few minutes I´ll remember something important that I forgot to ask.
Do you multitask? Has that changed with age?

Especially for my writing I certainly do, I begin writing something then have to go check something out on a site then jot some notes and so one sometimes going back and forth over at least two sites,

I used to multitask but found out to be counter-productive in the long run.

@marguicha busy people, multi-task.
Productive people, focus. This is what I go by nowadays.

it's good that you decided to accept these changes without feeling bad. i'm still young so i don't really experience such things - but i do forget where i put my things or what i was going to say sometimes.

Life changed a lot for me after chemotherapy. I was left with a lot of side effects.

I do multi tasking quite often. I can’t sit still waiting for one thing to be done before i do another thing. I have to do them all if i could. So far i can still manage it. But what i couldn’t really manage well these days are the physical activities. That one i really noticed has changed quite a bit as i aged.

I'm so sorry to hear about your challenges. I can't multitask because there's very little I can do. I rely on my husband; and he has a terrible memory!

I think it is wise to accept our limitations.
