The Spooky Mall

I was so early to acquire a clearance certificate in NBI today. As I arrived, they just need my fingerprints and a photo. I did not expect that I will finish it in less than 30 minutes. So I decided to visit the nearest SM Baguio mall. I felt a spooky feeling because not all stores were open. Then, I rushed out from the mall immediately and do brisk walking in the town proper instead. Are your malls still crowded during the weekends or weekdays?

I haven't been in a mall in over two years and wouldn't go in one now if someone paid me. You know you aren't supposed to pick the locks and let yourself in while they're still closed, right?

I agree. I was so puzzled by the guards there. They just let me in without asking me the real reason why I am there.

Very rare visiting them anymore. I am quite reluctant to go there unless I really needed to buy something from there. Every time I visit them it almost looks deserted and I see some stores even closing already. I don'tfind it spooky but feel sad seeingbless people around.

@Shavkat Well we had several times visiting them and every time we visit them they are really almost empty and it would usually increase as Lunchtime comes that is the time for us to exit since I know it is riskier to stay there when people are starting to crowd the place.

@rsa101 I agree. I am quite sensitive in a crowded place now. I prefer to move away than being with these people who cannot control themselves in flocking together.

Actually, it has been a long time to visit this mall. I need to buy a ring light with a stand and webcam. They are requirements for me to have a new job online. The first time I went here during the pandemic is my second dose of vaccine.

On some days, it is crowded but not like during the pre-pandemic days.

@Shavkat embracing and accepting this new normal is unacceptable to me. Zero CoViD-19 is what I want to accomplish. That is what I want to work on.

I hope everything will be normal again. I guess we just need to embrace the new normal situation.

It's still quiet as usual and with a QR Code of course, so not everyone can enter.

That's an interesting fact! You need to have a QR code before entering a particular mall.

@Shavkat Not only that, to enter the mall, we must have an application that includes our identity and whether our location is safe from Covid, if not, a failed message will appear on your cellphone screen.

If I stayed long in this mall, I am sure it will not be crowded, too.

I haven't been to the mall for a very long time now. I'm not sure whether they're open. But I'm sure the food section is open as it's never close.

The food chains in this mall were not that profitable now. Has only a few customers come in and out.

It is becoming hard for every store in this mall. They cannot sell products more than before.
