Another project for The Horse

I got this one done yesterday. One of the connectors on the back of one of my 1970 KLH Model Six loudspeakers had become loose. It sounds simple, but to tighten it down you have to go inside the speaker and hold a screw tight while you tighten a nut from the outside.
This means removing the woofer and all of the nasty fiberglass filler inside the speaker (the pink stuff to the left). Even if you use gloves, you'll wind up with itchy arms. I got the project done in less than an hour and am now listening to the speakers--they sounds great. Hard to believe they're 51 years old.
What's up in your neck of the woods today? It's too cool for swimming, but I may cycle a bit before facing my longest day of the week at Guitar Center.

Didn't your parents teach you to treat your toys nice? *shake my head* Just tearing things apart means someone has to work hard at fixing them and putting them back together. *sigh* You're lucky you know someone who can and will do that for free, pony.
We just finished cooking another batch of bok choy and beef chunks. Are you hungry? I'll share.

@TheHorse It's really good. Just make sure and cook the beef until it's tender before adding the cut up bok choy. This batch isn't as tender as the last batch. I was hungry so didn't wait long enough. It's still good but a bit tough.

@BarBaraPrz Will you keep us posted? The bulbs will make their first effort to poke through next year, right?

Yeah, it's kind of shocking to me. The Allied/Radio Shack catalogue (stereo gear) that still titillates me (I used to lie on my bed and dream about owning this or that as I scanned it and listened to Gordon Lightfoot on my kid stereo) is now 51-years-old.

Sweet, all done. Just essential shopping for me. Was a cloud cover, sunny day, nice. It's cooler today too, sunset earlier.

Pitiful situation. Hoping for safe precipitation to help put out wildfire there. Stay safe.

@DocAndersen You just might! Sometimes I amuse myself by seeing what things are selling for on eBay. Acoustic Research AR-3as, that sold for something like $250/pair when I was a kid, now sell for about $1100/pair. But some really good speakers, like Marantz Imperial 6s, sell for only about $120/pair.

Good for you. Nice to keep getting work. I started on some rewriting work I need to be done this week, I am not sure why people need to have information on people like Ashley Biden, Amanda Scarborough, Aila Camila and many more but they want info on them their families and even net worth, Who knows where these articles are going to be posted as long as I get money for it

I'm glad you got it done and the speakers sound great. Cycling sounds like a good idea.
Today: Swimming, laundry, and catching up on notifications.

Some of these 'fixes' can be very tricky. We're trying to replace a water-pump in the caravan. It is tucked in under the fridge and it's nearly impossible to get to two screws without taking the fridge out - and you can imagine what that involves! Enjoy your teaching.

Congrats on another successful fix. We waited for our little housekeeper yesterday; but she didn't show. I don't know when she will come. She's so busy with her real estate job. Have a good day.

@TheHorse She's my husband's second cousin. She forgot to call. This is only the second time in 2 years. I guess we have to let it slide.

and if I bought them I was not a toddler.
