Had dinner made for me three nights this week

He put parsley in every single meal!! Makes no sense to me.

I definitely appreciate men who cook. On Monday night, he made meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. I've had his meatloaf before, so I was looking forward to it. What I didn't realize was that he had used ground venison. I was surprised because the last time I'd had ground venison, it was super game-y. This was great! On Tuesday night, he made spaghetti and meatballs. This was also very good. The meatballs were regular ground beef this time. Then last night he made chicken and dumplings. He had used Pillsbury biscuits flattened and cut small for the dumplings and they turned out better than I'd have thought. But there was an unusual flavor to the broth that I couldn't figure out. They were good, but that background flavor was off-putting. He finally admitted to putting a bay leaf in the broth! WHY?? Bay leaves just do not belong in this dish!

I’m won’t complain. I just wish he’d cut back on how many carbs there are. The meatloaf dinner was great. I wasn’t uncomfortable when done. I was after the chicken n dumplings.

@jerzgirl I try to stop as soon as i am no longer hungry. But, sometimes the food tastes so good I end up pigging out.

I’m not complaining. He and his brother love cooking. Me, not so much.
