August 2021 in Review

Hi all,
Wow it seems like quite awhile since I've done one of these monthly reviews. I guess that says a lot about the nature of my 2021 , doesn't it?
But I still do have goals that I try to meet... to varying degrees of success.
August -
Goal = 2 new recipes
August = 3 new recipes
Grilled zucchini was a hit, beef and noodles was so so, and Italian Pork chops were a keeper
Exercise - 12 days a month of 30 min. workout or 7k steps
August - 3 days - oh well. Hard to work out when you feel like sleeping most of the time.
Didn't get around to reading, but that's alright.
So August went by quickly. Momma and I took a day trip to Taylor's Falls, MN, I did some dog sitting, we went to lots of county fairs, and dance continues on which is nice. Momma's birthday is in August and we had a nice get together. Dad's birthday is also August - he celebrates in heaven now but we celebrated in the Taylor's Falls area for him. I went to see my friend's band perform at an outdoor street dance, though I would like to get out for music moreso, and I took an exercise class that I enjoyed and will likely keep taking... how was your August?

This is kind of August I like to hear. Usually (no offense to August) it is hardest month of the year (based on myth)

@FayeHazel I think I associate the month because usually in the Philippines it rains a lot and so with typhoons

Here - August is usually hot and dry climate wise

YOur August sounds reasonable. You can only do so much. Mine was anti climatic,,,just holding my breath for cooler weather really. I hate doing things in the heat.

Your August sounds nice, happy birthday to your parents. I hope your September will be great.
My dad's birthday is also in August, my sister came to celebrate with us.
My August was good, I got a new phone from my dad, I participated in several competitions and I won 3 prizes.
