Nice Surprise Today

United States
September 6, 2021 11:50am CST
I logged in at FB today for the first time since January. This memory popped up first. It was two years ago that I first posted it. I thought it was nice enough to share here. A friend took the photo. This view is about a mile from me from the highway. Would you rather live in the city or would you rather live away from the hustle and bustle?

The elk just roam free around here. Pretty destructive at times too.

I can't think of a better place than here. It's an hour drive from a real city but worth it.

It was a nice thing that this showed up, I posted it but never saved it. I've saved it now. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

What a scenic shot! Impressive with the mountains in the background. I live in the suburbs which I definitely prefer to being near a big city. Too much traffic and I hate crowds.

I don't care much for crowds and I sure don't miss the traffic in and around big cities. I'll take elk and mountains over sirens and skyscrapers

I would be in between. I don't really like staying to far from the city but I don't like living in the city as well.

I'm 7 miles outside of a small town and about an hour from a real city. I lived in a city of 100k before I moved out here.

That is a lovely view, I love the country and forests and all but I also love the city because NYC is my hometown and I wish I could visit it,

That's beautiful scenery and you're lucky that you're so close to such beautiful nature. I'd rather live in the country (which I do). I had enough hustle and bustle in my younger years and am now enjoying a slower pace.

I spent almost 30 years living just outside Minneapolis and after 30 years here, there's no way I would move back.
