The Voodoo Chanters Are Out

I cannot explain my happiness today. The chanters of voodoo or the neighbors next to us are moving out. OMG! It is the time for a big celebration. I hope the next tenants would not be like them. If they are, then they will have the worst enemy in the neighborhood.
Are you close to your neighbors?
Are they peaceful at night?

I hope you don't have trouble with the next people who rent that house.
The neighbors on one side of us are always quiet. The neighbors on the other side have their children and grandchildren over on holidays and aren't careful about making noise. The kids and grandkids also consider my yard theirs to do as they please in. (The neighbors did tell us when we moved in that we're always invited to go to any celebration they have there. We've never gone, but we could...)
We've only had one complaint about them... two of the late teen grandkids decided to fight in my back yard one day. When I saw them, I told one of the sons to tell them if they're going to do that, to tell them to get back into Grandpa's yard. Their mom started yelling at me until their dad told her to shut up. I told her I didn't care what they were doing but I didn't want to be sued when the boys got hurt. The dad agreed and told the boys to get out of my yard.

@DaddyEvil. But why did the mother yell at you ? You just said not to fight in your yard ...

@Shavkat There's no fence between my yard and grandpa's yard so his kids and grandkids treat my yard like it's grandpa's. I guess they've always done that. We have to put up anything we don't want them bothering in our yard. It's a pain in the tush.

Why did you call them voodoo chanters? Curious about the backstory here.
Hope the new neighbors are better.

@Laurakemunto I think it is fine as long as they are not in residential places.

I find the best neighbors are elderly ones so quiet and never mess with anyone. I am glad you getting some piece and mind back brother.

yes and no. I don't know many of the neighbors here. The only ones I know are my great aunt and great uncle who live across the street.

sometimes my friend the problem you know is better than the problem you don't know - be careful what you celebrate!
