Crazy rodent! So, there is a resident squirrel who lives right behind the house, and he seems to think I said my casa is su casa. He runs all over the place. This morning, I heard him scratching something on the porch. I don't know what he was doing, but whatever it was, I am sure it wasn't good. I yelled at him and he scampered off. A few minutes later he is running around the deck. This squirrel has gotten battle scarred. It looks like it got in a fight with another squirrel. Do you have any crazy critters around your place?

They get hungry around this time of the year as they are preparing for the winter. Last year he was trying to dig seeds out of the flower pots. I found some acorns down at the lake and brought them back for him.

@snowy22315 i placed some groundnuts here and after in the garden ..so that they don't touch the fruits ...but still they don't leave any

@prashu228 I am not sure if these eat fruit but i suppose they eat whatever they can find. They would like the seeds in an apple for sure. I threw an old apple out in the back the other day. Either the squirrel, a deer or a raccoon will find and eat it!

@snowy22315 Squirrels are pretty invasive, I remember one in Florida that tried to get inside our hotel room every time I opened the window.

I saw 1 or 2 squirrels around the park place but not sure where they usually go.

Got lots of stray cats roaming around. I've fed them before and now they expect that I'll continue to feed them. Everytime I go out they scamper in front of our house expecting food.

Yes, hours of viewing pleasure for the cat. They have jumped at each other through the window pane. Luckily it is made of thick glass!

I had to move my plants as They munched the tops off. It could have been squirrels, or groundhogs, but deer were sighted in the area.

@DianneN I am surprised they haven't eaten my cauliflower plants. Maybe they don't like cauliflower!

I am a big fan of squirrels. I do miss having a yard where they hang out; maybe, next move.
There was just a study by UC Davis, which showed that squirrels have human-like traits. However, I think that squirrels prefer to think that humans possess some squirrel-like traits.

Since I have moved to my uncle's house, we have had alot of bunnies. One bunny came really close to the front porch. And one came really close to the back door of the sun room.

Thanks, don't want to fill any feeders until later. Bears have been sighted in this development. I don't want one visiting my property.
