I sometimes think of this. Since we are in a pandemic. And many types of viruses spreading around the world. I think the best way to avoid these deadly viruses is to isolate. And living in an island is one best option. You only come back after 2 years or when the pandemic is over. What do you think?

Not a good idea. If humans were designed to be isolated from each other, there wouldn't be nearly as many. Plus, people need people. We also need each other to survive. Truth is, in order to keep from getting sick, we need to put aside our fear and get back to living our lives. Before most of us heard the word "COVID" we didn't think twice about getting sick, or getting other's sick. COVID isn't the only deadly communicable thing out there.

@cacay1 Half of witch, should be common praticeses anywhere you live. You don't need to wash your hands to the point of obsession, but cleaning countertops at least once a day. Washing your hands after using the restroom or before cooking are things you should be doing anyway. Some virus shouldn't have to come along to remind you of that.

I doubt it’s a good idea at all. Lockdowns have affected a lot of people’s mental health and isolation could do worse. And this isn’t practical at all. Which government could afford to do such a thing?

well, it depends on the location of the island. If you enjoy being alone and isolated, it is good.
