Surprise! Guess Who Came Home for the Evening!

Hubby usually is only home for a couple of days and then heads out on the road for a week or two. He was home recently and headed back out. Was gone for a day and was surprised to have him home yesterday! Little Miss was delighted. She really misses her daddy when he is gone for long periods of time. He had called earlier to find out what time CVS was open til so he could get his second Pfizer shot. Was told I had to schedule an appointment online for him as they no longer do walk-ins. He was told last week that he could come back on Friday to get the last shot. And guess what? That is just what he did. They did accommodate him. He didn't give them a choice in the matter. It was the last appointment of the day, 6:00 and he waited in the parking lot until he could go in. That's one less worry. We had dinner. Watched some cartoons together and enjoyed the surprise evening together. He was off and running again at 3:00 this morning. May not see him again until the middle to end of next week. Little surprises are great. But, we look forward to the day when he can get a job closer to home and we will see him every night.
