All About Cheese

This time of the month I am usually spending a lot of time thinking about food since there is little or none around to be had. Today I find myself thinking about a big, juicy cheeseburger. I started 'binging' about different types of cheese and came across what I think is some interesting information on the subject. Here are a few things I found: *The largest grilled cheese was made by Cabot Creamery of Vermont in 2000. The sandwich weighed 320 lbs. and measured 5 ft x 10 ft 0.5 in x 2.5 in. *One of the oldest and stinkiest cheeses is one Pont l'Eveque which is a French delicacy dating back as far as the 13th Century. Never heard of it myself. *Serbian Donkey Cheese, or Pule, is the most expensive cheese in the world. Being also the rarest cheese it has an average price of $500 per pound. *Feta Cheese has the least amount of calories with only 74 calories per ounce with Cheddar Cheese having the most. It has 110 per slice and 403 calories per 100 grams. *The world's most expensive cheeseburger is the "Le Burger Extravagant" served at NYC's Serendipity for $295. What's your favorite type of cheese and which do you like best on your cheeseburger? I like Pepperjack myself.

I love cheese of all kinds. My mom always said the smelliest were among the best and I have had some smelly cheeses that certainly were very delicious, I really love blue cheese and feta is a favourites for salads.

I would say cheddar but not any more I need to find a new face Just plain old American is pretty good in a burger and so is Swiss.

I like mozzarella on my burgers, rather than cheddar, but, as the Stones sang, you can't always get what you want. I'm surprised that cheddar has the most calories. I'd have thought brie or camembert or a nice, creamy butter cheese...

I like cheddar cheese and American cheese for making a grilled cheese sandwich.

Havarti is a favorite of mine. Irish aged cheddar is tasty, too.
