A simple ‘life hack’

Every generation it seems, people re-invent the same stuff. What used to be called ‘household tips’ and published in odd corners of local newspapers are now called ‘life hacks’ and made into YouTube videos.
But anyway here’s my little tip which I finally remembered to actually put into practice:
Open packets at the bottom instead of the top! That way, when you roll up the open end of the opened packet, you can still see the writing that says what’s inside.
I find this particularly useful for dried fruit because packets of sultanas, currants, raisins, prunes or figs all look very similar and I was always having to open them up to see what was actually written on the bag.
What’s your favourite useful ‘hack’?

Uhm... I buy dried fruit in re-sealable bags... No problem with rolling the top down and covering the writing on the pouch.
I used to open chips from the bottom but got tired of people grabbing the bag, turning it right-side up and dumping them in the floor. *sigh*
