Why are computers now asking us to prove we are not robots? We don't ask computers to prove they are not human?

That is a good question why when I get on a site, the site asks me if I am human.

Perhaps, it is that we are all just living in the landscape of Äkta människor (or its English remake)?

Computers aren't asking that you prove you aren't a machine. Websites are asking you to prove you aren't a machine. Hackers use programs that will access websites and cause them to crash if the website is anything the hacker thinks he can get money from or can trick the site into giving him other people's information. (Have you heard about the Texas, US, governor who implemented sites that people are supposed to use to turn in anyone they believe has helped a woman terminate a pregnancy after six weeks but before three months? Some hackers are using bots to crash those sites so people can't report anyone for doing something that's legal in the US...) In this specific case, I totally approve of the hackers doing stuff like that.
