As a couple of other members have posted already our beloved friend Alfredo Rossi has passed away. He was always one of my favorites here. I definitely have missed his almost daily posts over the past year as he was so ill. I admired his courage for living his truth. He was married and had children but knew that he was gay and got a divorce. This was back when it was not nearly as easy to come out and be with a member of the same sex publicly. I loved that he was with his husband Mike for 45 years. They officially married as soon as it was possible in their state. He said that his wedding ring was his proudest possession. I was always amused by his dinner routines on Mondays and Tuesdays. Reminds me of @JoyDorsey 's lunches. Monday was always "antipasto and rolls" as a detox. His version of antipasto was different from what mine would be. He would have canned tuna and dried apricots with the rolls. I forget what else. (to me antipasto is cured meat, cheese, olives, vegetables, etc) Tuesdays were fish night in their house. I actually initially thought that he lived in an assisted living facility or nursing home since the meal themes were the same every week. I loved reading about his trips to the theater and to the beach. To "the club" to play tennis daily until the past year or two. He was elderly but remained very active for a very long time. My grandparents retired and spent their days in recliners watching re-runs of Hogan's Heros. They didn't do anything. That wasn't Alfredo! I know that he was struggling for a long time and was frustrated with that. I am sorry that we've lost him but I am happy that he is at peace and no longer suffering. Rest peacefully Fredo. Your myLot family loves you.

I do know that he passed, although somehow I did miss this post and other posts about his passing when it happened. That may have been during my hiatus as well. Can't remember. But I do miss my conversations with him as well. He lived a good and full and fulfilling life even if we disagreed on some things. Good to think back to him and keep his memory alive. He may not have been famous to the world. But he definitely was famous in our little corner of the world here.

I didn't know Alfredo; but I know that many MyLot members loved him. May he rest in peace.
