Short Story: Timing is always timed right for all

John Johnston was walking along a footpath, near his home, when he spotted a dollar coin, on the footpath.
It was near some steps, leading up to a house.
The thing was, though, that just as he bent over to pick it up, the front door of that house opened, and a rough, drunk looking man rolled out, coming towards him.
The drunk man yelled at him,
"And what are you stealing from me then, matey?"
John looked at him, and flicked the one dollar coin at him, and as drunk as he was, he reached out, and caught it.
Quick as a flash, John declared.
"I found this dollar coin of yours here next to your entrance, and you have now saved me the trouble of knocking on your door, to return it to you, my friend."
The drunkard man took a step back, and rolled his eyes to take this in.
He had the dollar back, so maybe, he would just leave it at that, but as he turned to return back into his house, he turned again to John, and flicked the dollar back to him.
"Thanks, man", he said, "here is your reward."
John kept walking, thinking to himself, that how come the timing there had been like it was.
Another second more, and he would have already pocketed the coin, and walked on, already.
Maybe, he was meant to have this interaction with this guy today.
Timing is always set up like this perfectly to give us the experiences due to us.
So, when we are waiting, impatiently in a long queue, at our bank, we should not get upset, but realise, that the timing here is perfect too, and so we can look around, to see what we can learn from what is going on right now in our midst.
John had another example of this, when he was in his bank recently, and he realised that he had left his bank card at home. He could not deposit his money without it. He was upset because the queue was short right now.
Sure enough, after he had gone home again, and returned to the bank, this time with his card, the queue was now very long.
He realised that his mistake in forgetting his card, and his need to experience a wait in the queue were all just a part of the perfect timing and planning of his life by God, no less.
God plans every life meticulously so, exactly like this.
Everything is planned to try to bring about the right results in our lives, and the necessary growth, and changes in ourselves, to grow into the greater person that we can be for God.
What is behind God's timing?
Love sits behind time, and clocks it out perfectly to each one of us, to give us the chance, the best chance in life to be our best life for God, as our best self, for our self, and for him too.
The dollar was really John's, as he ended up getting it anyway.
His quick thinking though had saved him from a possible bashing here though, and so he had come out of it rather luckily.
He had indeed earnt his dollar this time around, but was it all really worth it, just for a dollar?

Yes, if we believe that God is ultimately in control of all, all timing happens within his time, via his clock, so to speak too.

I agree that we must believe that God's timing is best, and maybe we are in long lines to be a blessing to someone else or someone can be a blessing to us. I liked this post a lot.

Yes, it is too painful when we allow ourselves to get annoyed by what we think is poor timing, or even road congestion, being stuck in traffic.
It is all happening as a part of life, to make the fullness of that life what it must end up being too.

I think when we are born, to whom, where, all come within the purview of time too.
Were we around earlier or would we revisit later to complete the learning from more experiences?
Timing played a part too in my life to chart my career, who became my life partner etc.
They could have gone a different way had the timings been different.
Timing played its part for my visit to India to be with my mother as had I delayed my trip I could not have made it due to the pandemic restrictions on flights. That would have been really hurtful to me as well as to my dear mother as she passed away two months later.
Yes, there is a higher hand in everything we go through and our awareness of that will help us to step up higher in terms of fulfillment from our lives.

Yes, sometimes the timing seems to be more than perfect for us, and at other times, it annoys us, as the timing seems off for us.
Sometimes, I get annoyed by the timing, when I have been having a quiet day, then all of a sudden the timing speeds up, and someone rings the doorbell, just as the phone rings, just as my wife arrives home, and wants my attention too.
At other times, the timing works out well.
I was to go to the surgeon last week, and I had a client due to come here, at the same time, but conveniently, she rang up and said that she couldn't make it that day, so I didn't feel stressed at having to put her off, and juggling my time to still try to satisfy her too. She didn't even have to know that I had another engagement to go to too. All worked out well.

@Shiva49 I also do not like to be rushed, and I like to take things easy, in the evenings too, after a long day. And so, I hate the event of daylight saving starting here again next weekend, and extending for a 6 months period, all through our summer.
We are expected to get out in our gardens, after a tiring day to use this extra hour of light to work hard with, before we go to sleep.
If I have not done my work for the day already, in the morning, I have no interest in my doing it late at night.
Timing and thoughts
Timing is also related to our thoughts, I would suspect.
I had a small database, notes management program, on my computer, of which I decided to move the database to my cloud drive, to save space on my computer's hard disk.
The cloud drive was encrypted, in that you needed a password to open it, but I thought that all would be ok, for after all a file is just a file, to a program, I thought, to myself.
It all seemed to be working fine, and I could read my old files ok, but then I added a new file to the old files.
Unfortunately, the new file could not be saved, and when I tried to exit the program, it closed itself, but later I found that the whole notes database had been lost, and now it was just a new empty database there with the same name. When I tried to reload a note into this database, it loaded as encrypted text, rather than as plain text too, and so the newly created database was corrupted, and could not be used again either.
I had moved the data to the cloud, instead of just copying it, and having two copies for a while, as I never expected in the faintest that anything could have gone wrong here.
When is a thought not a thought, when you have it too late after the event, and the timing has now messed you up, because of that.

@innertalks Yes, the problem of plenty happens after one of scarcity in times when we are suddenly rushed to attend to many things at the same time. Once we manage them all, it gives a sense of achievement too.
As I get older, I don't like to be rushed but can't help it at times. .
