He Hung It In A Tree

As I posted this morning about a package from Amazon, well as I was tracking it, it said it had been delivered. So I went to my mailbox, nothing, then I checked the neighbors box, no one lives in one of them. I am thinking it said delivered. Well, on my way back to the house, I saw this big plastic bag, hanging from a tree. That was my package. I know I live in the woods, a long way from the road, and our road is not the best. I was so glad to get the package I didn't care if it was hanging from a tree. I didn't get much done today, worried and fretting about the package. I stayed outside, ended up with a headache. Now it's nearly time to go to bed.

Nobody leaves a package here without having someone to receive it and sign that it has been delivered. If they do that, I'm pretty sure everybody would complain that they haven't received their packages at all. Somebody's gonna take if away for sure. I always get a call when a delivery man is on his way.

@popciclecold it's mandatory in all online shopping here for us to give our number. Couriers require us to do so as well. They don't want anybody losing their package. They make sure it must go to the right person.

Oh wow! I hope it was easy to get down. They will leave them on the back of my husband's truck sometimes. I am trying to locate a package that said it was delivered last Wednesday, and it was not. We didn't leave until Saturday morning. I have asked one of the ladies at our local post office to check on it for me. I have the tracking number. I think the new carrier left it at another house.

@popciclecold She was off Monday and Tuesday but told me last night she would check on it today. I didn't hear anything back from her. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have news.

It had rained, and our road is so bad, he wouldn't take a chance coming up to the house, afraid he might get stuck..I don't name him for that.

What's up with these delivery guys/ I just get a message in my email that the parcel has been delivered and it was not Apparently the guy called me up and left because I did not show up at the gate. He delivered it the next day

I remember the dog barking, so he was hanging it in the tree then. So next time we will be more aware.

Why would he hang it in a tree? Just set it beside the mail box if he didn't want to drive down your road. *shake my head*
I know UPS is told not to ring doorbells now so they don't come in contact with a potentially sick person but they're still supposed to make a "reasonable effort" to deliver it to you safely.

We you able to reach the package or we you outside most of the day trying to get it down? Weird place to put a package. I've never heard of such a thing before.

We have really bad roads. The people who use to live across from us, when it rained a whole lot, they had to be rescued by boats. We live on the high side. Either way it can be rough.

At least you found it. Yeah it worries me when I can't find a package either. You can add directions on Amazon to say where you want to have the package delivered next time. I did that when they left a few packages at my neighbor's house. When I moved to my uncle's house, I didn't receive a package from the postal service so I had to get it redelivered.
