Wot! No Beer?

At the end of last week, I went on a long walk and on the last mile popped into a canal side pub for a little refreshment. Sadly it was not to be, we were told there was no real beers like Doom Bar or Land Lord, only lagers. Not good! This is becoming quite the common occurrence, along with shortages in supermarkets, as the driver shortage bites. The nearest petrol station to me was closed as supplies had run out. Not sure how others in the area were fairing. There cannot be many countries without a shortage of truck drivers, but in the UK our Government has managed to turn it to a crisis. There were warnings of this shortly after the Brexit Referendum, but they were not acted on. Couple this with the hard Brexit the Government opted for, it is little wonder we are in the state we are. Only within the last day or two has the Government really begun to act and the Prime Minister finally appeared on a broadcast. Guess he was on holiday, again. Much talk of Our Glorious Leader battling to save Christmas. If he is as successful as he was last year, it could be very interesting

I am worried about this Ron. Shortages are not good at all. Something is happening.

I'm finding the weirdest things not available too. Our supermarket has extremely limited choices for frozen vegetables, french fries and onion rings.

Indeed, and with the Government's very tardy efforts have only exacerbated it

We already hit that part! Depending on which news source you read maybe a third of petrol stations are out of fuel and some supermarkets are removing shelves to disguise the shortages

Some of our trucks carry logos saying 'Australia needs trucks' and it's very true.

@Ronrybs Not on trucks but we used to add 'Be aware, we've got enough Lerts.' And a septic waste truck had 'Satisfaction guaranteed or double your waste back'.
