is squid ink edible? have you tried it? is it delicious? I do eat squid but haven't tried drinking the ink even though I know the black gravy food from squid ink I haven't eaten squid for a long time, craving

Until I read the other responses, I had no idea that squid ink was safe to consume. I have eaten squid before. It's quite nice, but I prefer other seafoods, especially crayfish.
