Good Morning

I've been enjoying my morning without rushing but now need to shower and get out the door for a couple errands. Today is my long three hour psychology appointment. It's required for my bariatric surgery and my last hurdle before my insurance submission. I might have to do an endoscopy first since I changed to a sleeve but it's finally nearing the end of a long seven months prepping. For those who ask why I don't just keep losing this way; surgery is a tool for me after over 40 years of yo-yo dieting. Enough is enough. That is harder on me. At 62, it can add an extra six or so years to my life. Some people need the extra. I can lose but keeping it off is the issue. My program is a lifetime and will always have the support. With the changes I've made, I'm doing well with nutrition, cut out a lot of junk and feeling better. I'm down one medication and looking forward to a life of better health. Surgery will be around December depending on covid and full hospitals. It's a cloudy day with rain coming. I'm thrilled to see rain coming more and more. I must get ready and run errands. I'll come back tonight to say hi. How is your day going?

I was surprised how long it went but the program I'm in is so thorough and they will be there for my lifetime after. Some kick their patients loose after a couple years.

@LadyDuck Thank you. It's hard day-to-day but I'm telling myself it's worth it.

Thank you for the kind words. I feel it's right too. I'm not nervous or scared. At least not yet but the end results will be worth it.

I hope it goes well with your surgery. It is hard to lose a weight to me but still doing my best.

I am OK with the expectation of my loss too. Since my weight is lower than some on average, it can take me 18-24 months to reach my goal after surgery. I will drop at least 30 in the first three. I'm happy with that. I could lose fast too. It's all individual.

Good luck with the surgery. Wishing you a successful one and a speedy recovery. On a tail-end of a Zoom meeting. Like most meetings, this could have been an email.

@allen0187 I have one tomorrow for my pain management class with the hospital. It saves time from driving and waiting in waiting rooms.

I've had so many zoom meetings where email with responses would have saved time. I like my support meetings though.

My days are slow. I can understand how you feel about your weight loss. I have a sister who loses and then gains the weight back. I understand it’s difficult.

It is difficult when it's been a lifetime of habit. This plan began months ago with slow changes and not just diving in. I know it's what helped me get ready.

Thank you. I'm feeling positive. It's the first time in any weight program that I've felt it's right for long term.

My day has been ok so far. I don't want any rain because I need to get my stuff from my trailer to here (my uncle's house).
