Not as bad as I thought.

This morning I had my first telehealth appointment with my husband's provider. I know that sentence doesn't sound like it belongs, but believe me it does. Due to the mask-wearing and the danger it poses to my husband's health, he elected to have a telehealth appointment rather than an in-person visit. Me, being the thech expert of the family, was the one to set up everything... only for the doctor to finish the conversation over the phone. A lot of scrambeling around and a lot of back-and-forth. If we end up doing this again, I'll know to be prepared ahead of time. In the end it went well, and we'll get something in the mail for his next visit.

Do you hate driving, too? That's the excuse my husband gave me. (Plus the mask thing)

@kaylachan I prefer to be at home. The traffic in Nashville has gotten crazy.

@CarolDM So I've heard. Traffic here isn't so bad, but getting a parking place is next to impossible.

Here they started to do telehealth appointments since the beginning of the pandemic.

In select areas, telehealth was an option, but only became more popular since masks were a thing.

I love telehealth. I am bummed cuz I am probably going to need to see my provider in person in a few weeks.

I’ve only had one in the height of Covid. It went well. I should do it more.

@kaylachan I could. I’ve returned to seeing my doctors since it’s pretty safe here.

Same here. I wish she'd agreed to over-the-phone, but they like to see faces so....

A telehealth visit is a good idea.

Yep. Since his doctor only can spare so much time between patients, we did it over-the-phone, which my husband perfers anyway.

I have had "chats" with a doctor on line, but never a zoom/video kind of thing.

Oh so all that set up so the doc could use the phone instead.. Yes you will know what to expect next time. I hope the appointment went well anyway.
