Does anyone collect Wade figurines?

Does anyone have any Wade figurines or have anything to share about them? I have found but how I ended up with two squirrels I have no idea. They are collectible but not particularly valuable so I was thinking I might put them up for sale. It would be four less things to dust, not that that’s much of an issue as I don’t get around to dusting too often.
Wade Ceramics were established in 1867 in Burslem, England. In the 1950s, small solid porcelain animal figurines were produced and were widely available in shops until the 1980s. From 1967 to 2018, a figurine was included in every box of Red Rose tea.
I know the little horse is from the ‘circus’ collection. But, other than that, I don’t know a lot about them.

Didn't know they were a thing. Because I don't really collect things that could be breakable. I have cats.

@JudyEv I have too, plates and other things, too. It's always scarry when it happens. Don't want to find shards with my feet. I wouldn't be surprised if shards from the last plate are hidden under the couch or behind the t.v. with how far they flew.

@kaylachan When you break something it's amazing how far the pieces can fly.

@JudyEv That would be a good reason for me not to have heard of them, then.

Most of my tea Wade kiddos are packed away right now. I probably have over a hundred of those cuties. And now there are more in the tea boxes!! I do love the silly things. I have china tractors and pumpkins and seahorses etc. etc.

@JudyEv Wade figurines must be something in one part of the world that is not popular in America yet.

I think that my mother might have a few, but I'm really not certain. She had collected a bunch of figurines (of varying sorts) over the years, but I know that she purged a lot of her belongings when she moved into a smaller place several years ago. I dread to think of what possibly valuable items she either sold for a few pennies or simply tossed.

@JudyEv With some things, it has gotten more difficult to find a way to get rid of them. The value may be there, but the market is smaller than in the past. Due to a confluence of factors, Millennials (and beyond) don't want/don't have space for as many collectibles as preceding generations. I remember seeing an article not long ago about the market for fine china being fairly small due to a trend away from it.

@wilsongoddard You're absolutely right. It is much harder now to get rid of collections.

Not really into figurines and never heard of Wade figurines till now. I love looking at them but i don’t have any in my home. When i was young my mom was fond of collecting figurines and i broke them. They were too and too attractive couldn’t help but hold them and end up breaking them. I think i was less than 5 years old. I remember because my mom would always get mad at me each time.

@JudyEv Yes, that would be good. I am also for minimalism in life these days.

I'm sorry now that I collected so much. It can be hard to get rid of them later.

When I was in high school I started small angel figurines but did not pursue collecting because as a student I don't have so much budget to buy them.

As you get older, you realise you probably shouldn't have collected so many things. But they are nice to have.

It's okay that you haven't heard of them but actually they were common in the US, from what I've read. Maybe on this occasion you're wrong!
