The Empire is Starting to Fall

During the Chinese National Holiday from 1st to 7th of October, I had experienced low decking of students online. It is also the same situation with the other virtual teachers in my company. It was our first time to experience this. I can tell that my company is struggling now. For me, it is a bad sign that they are going to shut down anytime soon. How would you feel if your company is struggling? Are you going to remain loyal or not to your company? Image Credit: i0.wp.com

I experienced that once when I was in my early twenties. I stayed loyal to the company and ended up not getting paid for the last month I worked there. (Other people started stealing the stock the company was supposed to sell but I just couldn't do that.)

@Shavkat I hope that doesn't ever happen to you. It's distressing to go through.

@DaddyEvil I cannot control this situation. They cannot bend the new rule in China. I personally think that it is their karma for not taking good care of their virtual teachers.

@Shavkat I understand and yes, it would be nice to believe the company is reaping what they sow.

I would remain loyal to a honest company who supported me all the time, not to your company, they were jerks.

I was laughing with the adjective you described them. I cannot deny that they are jerks. I can't believe that I am working with them for more than 8 years now. Enough to be loyal now.

@Shavkat I know that you worked with them just because you had not a valid alternative. They have never been nice.

@allknowing I hope they can do this the soonest. I heard two sister branches had closed in Beijing. This is another bad sign for me.

One of my students said something about this concern. They cannot solve this issue and that is China's new rule is about not teaching the English language to kids 12 years old and below. It means the bread and butter will be lost for our current company. Thus, the company will not be able to withstand the demand of their employees if they cannot solve this.

I'm sorry your company is struggling. I hope they have a comeback and you don't lose your job. I'm loyal to a point. When it looks hopeless, I find something else.

It is a hopeless case now, my dear friend. I am so hopeful for the coming week because I will have my first-day training on Monday. I think the company is better than the current one.

if the company is loyal to you, then I would say fight to the end. if not, then you don't owe them anything.

@DocAndersen You said it right. The good thing is that I gained more experience and certificates from them. I do not owe anything for being a loyal virtual teacher to them for more than 8 years now.

It happened to me a long time ago but I can`t remain loyal because My mother needs my help with the expenses. So, I have to resign earlier before they are about to shut down

I am sorry that you had experienced this. That's the reason why I am applying here and there online lately. I was hired by an American tutorial company, which is a business-related one. By Monday, I am going to have a series of training with another company that will focus more on teaching IELTS. I think I can keep them both.

Happened in the past. I left the company as I had to pay my bills. I made a wise decision as eventually the company closed down

As of today, I am feeling the big impact of China's new rule for stopping young learners to learn the English language aged 12 and below. Personally, it is their loss.

As long as they're still paying, then I would be loyal. I work for money after all.

I also have the same principle. I can make this current company as my part-time since I need to find another job to supplement the decreased rate of my salary with them.

I am sorry to hear it Shav. I would not be able to be loyal to a struggling company because I would have to have income.

I am sure it will not be resolved unless they can bend China's new rule about teaching kids 12 years old and below. That is, the Chinese government forbids these kids to learn the English language online now.

Sorry to know that your company is struggling now. Hope things get better soon. I would leave the company and try to search for a new job because first I would check my family's needs then will think about the company.

If I am going to continue working with them, they will not support my family's needs. I could be a loyal employee but not with this concern. Thanks for the enlightenment.
