What I should do

During a break or lunch today I should call my sister, before she calls me. I do want to talk to her, but prefer it to be when I am not doing something else. She often gets side tracked. I think I need to make lots of phone calls today. Other than that, I think today will be semi normal. The Occupational Therapist wants to change her time with my student, but we can be flexible. Maybe we will shop some this evening, I am not sure. There are still things we are out of. What we do is always dependent on how hubby feels, though. So are there people that you need to control phone calls with? Do they completely mess you up otherwise? I am willing to call her, but would rather do it in the morning when I am not exhausted from work.

Oh, yes... I won't answer phone calls from my sister. When she calls I let it go to voicemail and then text her back. If I talk with her on the phone she wants to tell me everything happening with people I have no clue who they are and repeats the same things several times. With texts, when she starts repeating things, I just stop responding to her.

I rarely make phone calls. I also rarely text. The person I talk to the most is my husband, and he is generally within hearing range. Whether he listens is sometimes another matter...

I just have the one sister left, so I do need to call her occasionally. Hubby listens better now that he has his hearing aids.

@GardenGerty I think my husband's problem is likely less of a hearing issue than one of paying attention. He is easily distracted.

Yes, I do love my sister and I want her to feel cared for. A phone call helps her.

You can call her when you feel you are in a right state of mind to deal with her. I too have to make a few calls tomorrow.

I called her when I could listen, still felt fresh for the day, and could cut it short because my lunch was over.

I rarely make phone calls, and most of the ones I get are robocalls.

I have one friend in particular that will have me on the phone for hours when I answer. Most of the time I let it go to voicemail and then call her back when I have the time to sit and chat. Best bet is to call your sister when you aren't tired

Yes, get comfy, have a cup of tea or coffee, then call. I called my sister on my lunch hour.

I had a cleaning lady call me while teaching. She was the only one I had to control.

Some people have no concept of what is socially correct.
