S is For Shortages

About a month ago in the United Kingdom there was a small shortage of fuel after a likewise small tanker driver strike. With covid delays backlogging HGV license renewal the press jumped all over this and linked the small shortages ( around 20 of 1200 petrol stations) to Brexit drivers going home and that created a mass panic and the country nearly ran dry two weeks ago. The left leaning media said it was due to HGV drivers going back home to the E.U after Brexit. But today fuel use is back to normal with no new HGV drivers here? So what the hell was the panic all about when there was no real driver or fuel shortage? The media is getting too powerful.

Probably just want to get people riled up for whatever reason they consider it needed.
