Enough chain-sawing for one day

The red circle is what I've sawed up today and hauled off to the end of the yard. Still have a few logs to cut up and haul down there tomorrow, but if I ain't short of breath, then the chainsaw overheats and won't stay running, or I get tired of bleeding all over the place, or any combination of any two or all three. The yellow circle is Scar seeing if anything worth hunting has shown up there yet. I may even take two more days to cut up and move everything. I was very tempted to hire someone to come down and do it for $75 but I ain't dead yet, just feels that way most of the time.

Hardest part today was fighting to get these loose from where they landed in a fork of the tree.

@CarolDM Yep, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do when he's gotta do it like a man's gotta do it or some such hair-brained thing I dunno

I'm on blood thinners and when I bleed, I bleed everywhere, and half the time I don't feel it when something happens and don't even know it until blood starts getting all over everything.

@myklj999 Lord Scar could not be a hole in a bush. if I had a gauntlet and was close to you I would throw it down in front of you to defend the honor of Lord Scar of Illinois!

I am exhausted just thinking about all of that work. It's good that you had some feline supervision, though.

I wish I could figure out why the saw won't run right after about 10 minutes of use.

@myklj999 That may be a question for Scar. Purrhaps, he has some insight into the matter.

Last session winded me somethin' fierce. Half a mind to take the riding mower and a chain and see if I can't haul the logs down there without any more cutting...

@myklj999 Ouch! My husband could not drive (vertigo), I went to the store with my cart on wheels and coming back the road is more steep than I remember. My legs hurt today.

I have helped with such yard messes in my past, that is a lot of hard work. Take some time in between to rest.

I do understand that. As we age, our stamina for heavy physical work diminishes. I often find it maddening when I can no longer do something I used to do. My kids took my ladders away from me. I am only allowed to have a step stool now. Like a little kid, LOL.
