MyLot Friends...I REALLY need your help!
October 13, 2021 11:46pm CST
I could use some good, positive thoughts and energy, and for you to keep your fingers crossed for me. Two weeks ago, most of you know I went to the University of Washington Medical center (UWMC) for two important scans. The technicians there did not listen to me before trying to start my IV and four veins blew out, wasting some very expensive nuclear radioactive medicine. It also did not help my distrust of so many in the medical field. Six hours from now I need to leave at 4:00 a.m. to drive to Seattle for a 7:00 a.m. appointment, the first of two tomorrow. I will be at the cancer center, where I had this scan done last June, and they had no problem starting my IVs. I'm hoping for the same type of experience tomorrow morning. I know that I am a hard stick, but when people listen to me, they usually get it, first or second time. I am just getting so tired of all of this. RGD came over a couple of hours ago, and I heated up some leftovers for dinner, and apple pie for dessert. I just made up the couch for him to sleep, and he took Cooper out for his last walk of the night. Thanks to all of you who have checked in with me over these last few days. I appreciate your kind, and caring support, your friendship, the "snail mail" and the phone call. You each have made a difference in my life. I need to be up in six hours, so I'm going to say, "Goodnight." And...Thank you, in advance, for keeping me in your thoughts tomorrow. UPDATE: LINK TO THE DISCUSSION BELOW FOR WHAT HAPPENED TODAY, THURSDAY, AT THE APPOINTMENTS.

Give them your strictest glare and make them listen to you! Having grown-up with medical people I know there's a lot strange ones there :-) Will keep my fingers crossed while running out into the world again. Offline life suddenly called. Must do things before returning online. God natt og lykke til! :-)
