I almost forgot

Hubby would not let me forget, our neighbor had a big get together on the patio at their house.
I am not very social, but hubby is. We received a nicely printed invitation for chili. They had asked many of the neighbors to come.
There were people I knew, one or two.
I did not eat a lot, but I had chili, and cinnamon rolls.
They were going to make som'mores. I did not need the sugar. I have to have my fasting blood sugar drawn tomorrow morning. We visited for an hour and a half or so.
I just am a pretty introverted person.
Still, it was nice, and nice of them to do.

I love chili, and can eat it often. Hubby put grated habanero peppers in his, thinking it was carrot!

That does sound nice.
The neighbors on one side of us have parties in their back yard all the time. They keep telling us to come join them any time we want but we haven't done it yet. (None of them wear masks and I am not very trusting...) If the pandemic ever ends, we might decide to socialize.

This was outside, with lots of distance. It still felt funny, but it was a good time.

When the pandemic ends, if I'm somewhere other than this area, I might be inclined to be social. Here, though, I wouldn't be inclined to socialize even if the pandemic were over.

May I ask where you are, and where you would really like to be?

@GardenGerty We are in a noisy city in the mid-Atlantic region. I'd rather be in a smaller town with less trains, planes, and automobiles. I have a few in mind (mostly outside of this region), but I need to see what pans out in the coming months. With the pandemic still going, it can be hard to be certain of what things will look like in a few months.

Sometimes its good to be social, even if you don't want to be.

Yes, a shame, but I loved the HOMEMADE cinnamon rolls. She did a wonderful job.

Ah, you're in the area where chili and cinnamon rolls are served together! I've never tried that, but I'll bet the combination is wonderful.

Inever ran into it growing up, but ever since I have been in Kansas, it has been a thing. They also serve chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. Oh, and bologna boats.

@GardenGerty Same as you, I am reluctant to visit people I do not know.

I am living here in this area, so I should connect at least a little.

We sat in really small groups, but I do like one on one.
