I do not appear to have an ear or sinus infection, but to double my allergy medicines for a while. She is concerned.
My A1c is up, so I am to double my metformin. It is supposed to help.
I had one of the last appointments of the day, and of course it ran late.
Hubby has food in the oven for us, though, and it will be good. It is a dish called Janzen's Temptation. Anchovies, onions, potatoes and cream. And there will be leftovers.
We will have pickled beets on the side.
I am definitely ready to eat.

I hope you enjoyed your dinner.
I was put on metformin for a month and then had to be taken off of it. (It caused my kidneys to begin shutting down. It took two years for them to regain full function after I quit taking it.)

Wow, that is serious. I have been taking Metformin, in a light dose, for five years or more. Doctor says my stress levels are bad for my blood sugar, but what can I do. I did not choose the stressors I have.

@GardenGerty I understand. My doctor gave it to me to help me lose weight. It was working great until she discovered my kidneys were shutting down. *shrug* I'm glad she took me off of it but wish I could still lose weight. (I have hyperthyroidism but don't lose weight because of it. The doctors don't know why, though.)

Most of these minor things usually get better with time.

The pickled beets sound really good. I've a bunch of raw ones that I'm still working my way through here; I got a bit too enthusiastic with the veggies last round.

@GardenGerty At this point, I'm not even certain what I want to do with them. Maybe, I can just dice them all up and roast the lot. Or, maybe, they would be so good as to keep for another month or so until I am in another space. Hmm...

Me too. My numbers had gotten back to the same as before I was treated at all.

It did. I was expecting the increase of the metformin, surprised I did not have a sinus or ear infection.

@GardenGerty Sometimes it can surprise you what a doctor will find to focus on.

Oh, I am hopeful. I also hope the increases are only temporary.

Probably not for a lot of American tastes.I will not take leftovers to work because some people would dislike the smell.
