This is what I meant

The photo shows my small apple pies before I popped them into the toaster oven. There is a pile of sliced, peeled apples inside the crusts. And cinnamon. Its cold and blowy outside. Autumn rain is graying my world. Hubby and I sit inside and listen to an audio book. The pies bake. He has roasted a turkey breast. I did get our yeasty bread made yesterday so our lunch will feature turkey and home bread, possibly butter. I listen to the rain pound on the wooden deck and am glad for my warm house.

What kind of an toaster oven? Like the small size of a microwave that bakes?

@Spontaneo A few years ago I bought this toaster oven second hand. The thing is pretty big. I can put an entire 9 inch pie in it if I want. It heats up to 450 and has a convection use but I've never done that. I really like it. I don't have a microwave- that would sog up a pie crust not make it toasty like it is supposed to be.

@Spontaneo I asked my hubby. He says it moves the air more quickly and doesn't dry the food as much. I guess it cooks faster. I've never used it so I am pretty clueless.

Those pies look delicious and I'm sure the bread is too. We have rain and some wind here, but not as much as predicted yet. I shopped yesterday, so we are staying warm and dry at home too. Anything happening with your writing?

@JamesHxstatic You ask the best questions. My writing. Hmmmmm. I am slow there. I did write a rather large Yule Tale this year. (Every year I write a Tale but this one grew and grew.) You are welcome to one if you PM me your address. I have about 26 folks that I am snail mailing a Tale to this year. Thanks for asking.

@sallypup I would like one, but stamps are expensive. Is it possible to email as an attachment?

@snowy22315 I thought I answered this but maybe I just imagined it. Private message me your snail mail address and I will mail you one. These Tales are best experienced the old fashioned pony express way.

That all sounds rather cozy. Did the fuzzies offer to "help" with your lunch? Yesterday, our boy developed a sudden fixation on my pizza. I almost had a cat in the middle of my plate.

@sallypup Did they offer to assist in taste testing it for you? I'm certain that they would have been happy to help with the quality control.

@sallypup It has always been my favorite dessert, of course a good coconut or chocolate cake is nothing to sneeze at either.

@snowy22315 Apple crisp is tasty. Nothing quite like toasted butter and crispy oats.

I have never prepared apple pies before. I find it difficult to make them. We are now in summer over here. I'm loving it after those cold months
