Years ago, I cut the cheese perfectly... One of the assistant managers was driving me crazy... We went to a meeting and I stood beside her... Halfway through the meeting, I let a silent but deadly one slip out... A minute later I looked at her, made a face and moved away. Several other people did the same... She kept saying she didn't do it... I enjoyed it whether she did or not.

It's too bad it didn't get her fired.

@xander6464 I’ll show her the video. It was actually very interesting. Nice to meet a woman who really knows how to cut cheese. But really, I really enjoyed watching it. Must buy some good cheeses for November.

I only watched the first few minutes talking about hard cheese. That expression here means tough luck. I don’t know why that is but I had a lot of hard cheese in my life. As for favourite cheeses, I have to go with cheddar which is so versatile. Often I don’t cut but grate it. I don’t know if that is covered in the video.

It means the same thing here. Or at least it used to. I haven't heard anyone use it that in a long time. I don't think grating is covered in the video. Cheddar is one of my favorites, too.

Thank you very much for the link, I just cut in slices or shred it. My mom made super cheese platters with the cheese in little cubes and a colorful toothpick stuck in eaach,
