Fixing Things

They don't make things like they used to. something that I often hear.
More often than not, when things go broke, these are replaced rather than fixed.
Phones, laptops, even relationships. Well, it really depends on the severity of the damage the item incurred. Me, I'll use something until it falls apart. Of course, it really depends on the situation. Recently, I was at work when the sole of my shoes got unglued. This was due to this particular pair not being used in a long time. Anyway, this particular episode will be discussed in a different post.
So, I was going to use one of my go-to workout shoes for the office yesterday. I noticed that part of the heel clip was broken. Good thing I saw and was able to keep the part that came off. Earlier today, I was able to glue it together. This is the reason why I have super glue at home. It is very handy to have one always. Haven't worn the shoes yet but I imagine, sooner or later it will start to deteriorate. As long as it is still performing up to par with what it is suppose to do, will be using it.
Are you good at fixing things?

I try, but it doesn't usually work out too well. I tried super gluing some shoes they broke again. I hope you have better luck. I am going to get ahold of some JB Weld to fix some things that really need a strong glue.

Oh, man! Put your shoes back on! I can smell your stinky feet from here!

I've had shoes that did that. One side of the sole comes unglued. I use stuff called Shoe Goo to repair them. I've used it on sandal straps that pulled out from inside the sole of the shoes and on a pair of tennis shoes like the one you're showing there when the sole started coming loose. (I wore them both for about another year after fixing them.)

Was the stink that bad?

Hoping this one lasts longer.

@allen0187 I smelled something really bad... If it wasn't your feet, then it must have been the dog food factory in the next city over from me. I hope the smell doesn't happen again. (Thanks for putting your shoes back on.
