Well, It's Fun Anyway

I don't buy lottery tickets like a maniac. I mean, I have at least some level and sanity and control when it comes to playing the lottery. And I tend not to check the tickets right away unless someone wins the jackpot, and then of course I want to know sooner rather than later what the results are. So, with that in mind, I had a pile of about a couple of months worth of tickets and thought, even though no one has won recently aside from the MegaMillions, I'd give them a look-see to see if I had any winners in the pile. $38 worth of tickets and not one single winner. Not a single one. Oh well, it's still fun to play anyway even though the odds are so terribly against actually winning. But as I always like to say, the only way to guarantee you won't win at all is to not have a ticket in your hands. For whatever that is worth.

I don't go crazy with them much either. Once in awhile will spend $20 total and get $1s and $2s. But that's not often. Especially considering i dobt buy them often in general anymore. We have about 5 winners in car with around $30 on them

For me it is just fun to play with the prospect of winning hundreds of millions of dollars even though I know all too well I'd be lucky to win back my $2. lol

The irony is you'd be the one to win the darn thing.

I love playing it but I am very modestly buying those at perhaps one a month.

When I first saw the $38, before reading further, I thought you were gonna say those were your winnings lol.

The cash payout on the Classic Lotto is now $8.2 million. After taxes, we would be very comfortable for the rest of our lives...and beyond. As you know, I've been playing the same numbers since 1989. The most I've won is $70. Sigh.

Our state-only lottery often gets up to around $16 million or more by the time someone wins, which is more than most state-only lotteries I have seen or played, so it's nice to see Ohio's getting up that high. Makes it more fun and worthwhile to play when the stakes are higher. Someone recently won ours, so the current jackpot is currently only around $3 million. But it will go higher, and I will probably start playing again when it gets around $6 million or more.
