Lovely Fall Day

While they keep threatening us with colder weather just around the bend, I’ll enjoy what we have right now. And what we had today was fine!!
After lunch I went for a walk in a local park, Brown Park. It’s “technically” in St. Matthews, which is one of those “mini-cities” that make up Louisville. It’s a lovely park, with a number of walking paths that meander through the park’s wooded section and over Beargrass Creek.
One of the joys of the park is the duck population. They know people love to feed them, and the people don’t disappoint!
The weather was just at the point where it was comfortable to be in a sweatshirt without a jacket. In other words, a lovely fall day.
The trees are still arguing amongst themselves about whether they should turn on the color or not. Some are full-blown gorgeous, while others are showing a little hint of what they could do.
It doesn’t matter. It was a fine time.

Our fall colors this year were very disappointing because of the warm weather. There are some trees and bushes that are vibrant in color...others are brown; and the leaves are falling off.

We’re like that nearly every year here. The GREAT colors are in eastern Kentucky, with the higher elevation.

@LindaOHio — you don’t want Joy and me together. We can’t be responsible for your emotional state afterwards!

@FourWalls I would love to get down to Louisville and meet you and "Joy" and there's one other member down there...Can't remember her name.

Lousiville is such a magical city, it is one of those places you can find almost anything.
Including a giant baseball bat!

And a big statue of The David looking like he’d swung it so hard it flew out of his hands and knocked his clothes off in the process!

Walking in nature is one of my favorite things to do. The leaves here in GA are all changing and they are beautiful!

There’s a live camera at the observation deck on Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia, and the colors were spectacular there!! I hope to make it there in person one day.

The cold has abated some here and it should be a nice week.

I love days like that. I could've done without the wind, but I enjoyed today just as much. Still was comfortable in my normal atire, because I don't get cold very often.
