Yep, I’m finally getting around to posting about my recent five-day weekend. I’ll be posting about it over the week rather than in one day because, truth be told, I’m either busy or lazy lol. So anyway, Thursday, Oct. 28th, was the start of my five-day weekend, as we headed toward my sister’s wedding on Oct. 30th. I was going to try to work on a few short orders during the day, but I didn’t have time and that’s okay because I knew that was 50/50. My best friend and I ran to a mall so that she could pick up some last minute things for the wedding (i.e., cosmetics). I honestly can’t remember if we went anywhere else, but we eventually got back to my place so that we could head to her son’s school for dismissal. They hung out at my place for a bit, and I ended up resting as well. Oh, and we were having issues with the dryer (it’s fixed now, but I don’t remember what was wrong), so she took my 20yr old niece to her house so she could dry her work clothes. I let the Little Guy stay with me, and he watched The Incredibles. Eventually, my best friend came back and took the Little Guy home (we were going to pick her up later), and I didn’t do much else before it was time for my younger sister to pick my older sister and I up (and our best friend along the way) to get our nails done for the wedding. We met up with another friend there as well. I chose a very dark purple, but it shined a little (like glitter, but not too much of it) in the light, since our dresses were plum. After we got our nails done, my sister dropped us off and then we ate and didn’t do much else. I did wind up watching a few movies with my 20yr old niece after she got off work while packing my bag for the next night. I also had to get on my laptop to email The Knot (where we set up her wedding website) about a gift card to see when it would clear (her honeymoon was in Disney World, and luckily, she got the remaining gift cards in time to enjoy them). Afterward, I went to bed because I figured I’d need to be up early for one reason or another. Alrighty, that’s it for part one of my five-day weekend. I’m about to start on another writing order, so I’ll be back later (for a different post, not the weekend/wedding posts).
