Day 151
Psalm 6:1 (To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.) O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh, save me for thy mercies’ sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night, make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxes old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
When the world is against you, when you feel you’re being torn down, when you don’t know where to turn, what do you do?
David felt the world closing in on him. His enemies wanted him dead. Saul wanted him dead. Absalom wanted his throne. His army wanted to stone him. David felt pressed in on every side. He didn’t want God’s wrath on him too. David reminded God that he couldn’t remember him if he died. He wanted God’s mercy. He was tired of crying. Yet, David knew God heard his prayer and He would deliver him from death and his enemies.
As Christians, you face many trials every day. Some don’t feel like trials, while others feel as though your next step will be your last. David showed that even when everything looked bleak, you can turn to God. God will hear you and come to your aid. God is your defender when your enemies come against you. He is your protector against the storms of life. He is your healer when the doctors give you no hope. God is your peace. In Him, you can turn for refuge and find His strength to face another day.
Don’t let Satan steal your hope. Your hope is in God.
Let’s pray: Father, sometimes I forget You when the world is hammering at my door. Help me turn to You when Satan wants to destroy my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This morning, the evil neighbor speaks so loud at 6:00 AM and it made me lack sleep for the day. I asked God to let me conceal my irritated feeling towards her. I know God is there to control us with neighbors who are like possessed by satans.
