SOAP SAVING
As I was showering the other day I noticed that my bar of soap was worn down to the nub. Of course, over time your bar of soap shrinks to the point of being so small it can no longer fit or even be held in your hand. It got me to thinking just what people do with the remainder? Is there an effective solution not to waste the extra?
What do you do with the leftover? Throw the remainder out or do you have another solution? Apparently some smart soul has thought of an answer. Do you know what it is?

I see. For some reason I just can't get used to using liquid soap. Which makes me think of another just wondering post, which is more costly to use liquid or bar soap?
Don't have the answer to that one.

@dgobucks226 It does seem that liquid soap is a bit more expensive than bar soap. But actually using bar soap also has its disadvantages, because if the size is small, it is rather difficult to use it, because it will be released from our hands when we use it when we take a shower. So we use a new bar of soap again by letting the rest of the soap melt by itself in the soap place.

The leftover of soap usually goes to the washing machine with the clothes to meet its end of use.

@dgobucks226 If you use silicon molds, you can create nice new soaps.

What I do with my little tiny piece of soap is attach it to a new soap bar. But I do have trouble getting it to hold at first. Your suggestion to add liquid soap to create a seal is perfect Anna

I do not know what it is but I have saved up some of the small pieces and melted them a bit and made a soap ball and then used that until it is done with,

@dgobucks226 I took quite a hand full of pieces and started adding hot water and after a while like with food dough they start to get soft and then I start working with the pieces like I would with dough and after a while they a combine and then I keep at it and roll it in my hand until I have a ball

Very interesting idea Rasma. What method do you use to melt down the pieces?

We have little pouches that the soap bits can be put in. You can then use the pouch to shower with.

I just let them melt away. Sis never wastes anything though and will paste small slivers together to make a new bar

I found an idea but have gotten even better suggestions here. What I do with my little tiny piece of soap is attach it to a new soap bar.
It does take several attempts to get it to stick though.

An excellent use for an old stocking! What I've tried doing with my little tiny piece of soap is attach it to a new soap bar.
But it does not take easily. This seems like a better way of doing it!

I save them and mash them all together with a bit of water and there you have it..a new bar of soap.

A useful way to utilize the leftover instead of just tossing the soap out. Yes, you tube can help solve almost anything can't it. Thanks!
