Scared to death...

Ok, so, while I get the whole "life is hard" thing and "god doesn't give you more than you can handle" saying that I've been told my whole life, the gods really should know by now that I'm indestructible at this point and should find another target. Everytime things seem to go right something immediately follows to mess it up. My whole life has been like that. I Here's my recent timeline:
July 2019- Found a great guy
March 2020-COVID
May 2020-Laid off
August 2020-Awesome job working from home, home schooling kids, all is great!
Dec 2020 - Boyfriend is NOT the great guy I thought he was and managed to not only break my heart but my TV, Phone and laptop
March 2021-Pretty smooth sailing I save enough money to buy my kids and I brand new beds!!! Now that was an awesome feeling!!!!
June 2021- I go back to office job doing what I love?
Sept 2021 - Ida takes everything from us. We lost it all. I'm 38 and everything I own is now in 25 boxes in storage. Denied by every source of relief for one reason or another (story ofy life)
Oct 2021 - strike up a Convo with a stranger who did for my number, we become good friends
Nov 21, 2021-.I start dating this amazing guy who legit adores me.
And I'm scared to death....
I used to believe in Karma and what you put out into the world comes back to you but I am a good person. I help whenever someone is in need, I never turn my back. I will literally go out of my to do what is asked of me when I don't have to. I keep hoping what I put out will come back and it's just not. So yeah, right now I'm happy, so happy I'm terrified... WTF? End rant, thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to myLot. Sorry to hear about all your troubles. It seems bad things happen to good people. Life isn't fair. I understand how you feel. Hard to allow yourself to be happy when bad things keep happening.

Do you really need a boyfriend? You just struck a conversation with a stranger and in less than a month you are friends with him? How could that be? Friendship takes a lot of getting to know one another.
You should actually get your priorities straight. If all your possessions are in 25 boxes inside a storage facility, and you have school age kids, thinking about a knight in shining armor who could save a damsel in distress is not exactly a sound solution.
It's not that I would not wish for a happy relationship but you were also happy with that previous boyfriend who destroyed your, tv, your phone, your laptop, not to mention your heart,
You may be a good person to others but it is time to be good to your self first. Take care of your self and heal from past mistakes. When that happens, you will surely find that life is not hard. You will be happy and not scared.

Why does life often feel just to be all pain and hardship, at most times?
For God, love is love, but the rest of us fall under the category of those still learning to love, as God loves.
We learn by falling over, and getting up again, as forced learning, or spoon-fed learning, never works, and God is interested only in real learning, where the lessons become ingrained enough within us, that they then come out of us, as wisdomed learning, over time.
