Heyyy there, everyone. I know things are a bit slow around here, and that’s okay. I just thought I’d finally post about my experience at WWE Smackdown on Oct. 1st, 2021.
I’m not going to get into the matches and results because quite frankly, you can look that up yourself. And besides, looking it up would probably be more reliable than me trying to remember match results from almost two months ago lol. I’m just going to talk about the experience in general.
Honestly, I haven’t attended a WWE event in about two years, but that has nothing to do with the pandemic. The WWE did come around prior to the pandemic, but I wasn’t up to attending the event.
I was dropped off at the arena, where I eventually met up with one of my best friends from out of town. I haven’t seen her since 2015, so I was pretty excited. We chatted, took pictures, bought sodas, etc. Basically, we stuck together until the last minute, when we had to go to our seats (we weren’t sitting together).
The show itself was pretty good, as it was the WWE Draft (which is when they switch up who is on which show). It was my first solo WWE event, so I was a little shy at first, but all that went out the window when Edge hit the stage.
Adam “Edge” Copeland has been one of my favorite wrestlers since his WWF (yes, I said WWF) debut back in the late 90s. I’ve seen him in person countless times. Unfortunately, he had to retire a little over 10 years ago. :( Butttttttt, he was able to come back in January of 2020, and all I wanted when WWE started doing live shows again was to see Edge again, as I hadn’t seen him since before his retirement.
Thanks to my friends for making sure I got a ticket, and my brother-in-law for dropping me off and picking me up, that was able to happen. :) I took a bunch of photos of his entrance, but then I switched over to video for his segment (just him talking, not a match). I had fun, but clearly, Edge was the highlight of the show for me. :)
After the show, I met back up with my friend, and we met up with my brother-in-law, who gave her a ride back to her hotel. We didn’t want her to walk there alone at night, and it was only several minutes away.
Once I got home, I ate and relaxed until it was time for bed. :)
Also, that night was the season premiere of Blue Bloods. I skipped it to attend WWE Smackdown (I can stream it though. I really wanted to see Edge). My friends tagged me during Donnie Wahlberg’s tweetfest during the show, so I logged on later to find him in my Twitter notifications. :) Even if he hadn’t gotten me, it’s okay. I was just grateful to see Edge again for the first time in forever. :D
I don’t know if I’m going to the next show. If I don’t, it’s fine. I wanted to see Edge again, and I got my wish, and I’m so grateful for that night. :)
Photo Credit: It’s my picture. I didn’t take it the day of the event, but this is the shirt I wore that night. :)

So glad you got to see him again. I wish I had gotten to see him in person, and matt and jeff (longer for jeff as saw him for short time once in i think 2018).

Thank you so much! You still may be able to see him in the future, now that he's back. I still can't believe he's back.
I've seen my favorites recently, so now I'm back to focusing on my Boston boys. I mean, not that I wouldn't wanna see my favorite wrestlers again, but I can't always afford a concert AND a wrestling show (if I can even go to the concert next year).
