An impressive little invention

Look at all these pieces! Do you have any idea what the item is?
If you guessed pencil sharpener, you are partially right. It's a make up pencil sharpener. The tricky thing with make up pencils, is that they come in a variety of sizes, and materials. Some eyeliners, for example, are much like a regular pencils. Other products and other styles of eyeliner come in a thick plastic tube and are the size around of a crayon. They actually sharpen quite well.
So thus the silver ring gives you a 3rd option for diameter of things it can sharpen. The little pick is there to dig out make up that breaks off or otherwise gets trapped, and the clear plastic , a dome for holding shavings.
I included one of my eye crayons in the photos, so it might make more sense too.
Anyway, normally I buy these for $1.00 and it seems like they seem to go missing. So this time the store was out of the $1.00 ones - this one was $4.00. However it comes with these spiffy niifty adapters. I'm actually impressed.
What's the last time a product that impressed you?

You must get quite a collection of them... but then, like I found out, they do seem to go missing periodically.
Sometimes I like the "marker" style

@FayeHazel I use those, too. I’ve been into colored eyeliners lately.

That's a great little gadget. My two faves are a meat thermometer (how did I ever cook without one?) and a jar lid opener shaped like an 8. Cuts down on the times I have to ask my husband to open things for me, lol.

Oh meat thermometer is GREAT, prevents me from overdoing things lol. I'd seen the 8 shaped lid gadget, -- so it really does work then huh?

@FayeHazel Yeah, it's great for opening jars and Pepsi bottles. I used to over cook things, too, before I got that meat thermometer.

Ah yes, interesting you mention. I remember my cousin used to call thin eyeliner "old lady eyeliner". Ha. But yes, you want just the right amount of point, and at a certain point you've got to sharpen in order to use it. I was shocked the first time I sharpened one like in my picture, is it turns out the plastic casing does indeed sharpen fairly well too.
That sounds like a powerful torch... very useful. Is the kitty impressed?

That is pretty cool and well worth the $4 you paid.
