Hello , Hi , good afternoon everyone. I have a question . I am observing my cats and I can see they love boxes or cartons . And I find them cute when they are inside the box or carton. Does any one here knows the reason why cats loves boxes? Please refer to the picture I uploaded. I took the picture this morning when I saw them inside boxes and they are so cute! I intentionally placed those boxes on that part to see what will my cats do with them .Aw, they are so cute. To all cat lovers here cats really loves boxes right?

@Nawsheen You have a point. When they were still kittens I used to place them in a cushioned sleeping place with cloth to keep them warm .As they grow old I saw them with boxes and they sleep inside .

Yes, all our cats loved to play in boxes or just to sleep in them.

@JudyEv Agree! I tried giving them cushions / padded sleeping mats they dobt like it , they just scratch on it

Cats feel very safe in them, so they'll go inside, & hybernate for a few hours.

@oahuwriter I observed that too. No matter what the weather is if they see a box they'll inside sleep and relax.

Oddly, my cat isn't into boxes. You never find him in them. I did put his bed in the middle of a shallow box though to give him some extra enclosed space and he seems to like that. However, to just sit in a box..not him!
