India started off well with Shubhman Gill and Mayank Agarwal playing well. However at 80 for 0, Gill caught out with an outside edge.
Then Ajaz Patel bowled magnificently to get Pujara and Kohli out - both for a duck!!
However, Mayank steadied the innings with the help of Shreyas Iyer and Wriddhiman Saha.
India are now 221 for 4 with Mayank at 120 not out - 14 fours plus 4 sixes.
Looks good for India so far!

But Kiwis gave a good fight to India in the 1st test match. Plus when India go to New Zealand, it is the Kiwis who are regularly beating India.

There is also something known as "Home Advantage".
Even for Australia and England, beating them at home is much tougher than when they play away from home, especially in the test matches.

Well, the stadiums in India have a very tight police presence owing to historical (terror threat, unruly crowd behavior etc) but yes the team gets to hear a lot from Armchair experts as well as on social media.
