Do you enjoy black comedy? Is it too early to use "black comedy" in reference to the callous murder of a good woman?

Among my favorite movies are Dr. Strangelove and Pulp Fiction. Among my favorite TV shows is Breaking Bad.
I enjoy dark comedy, commonly referred to as "black comedy." Black comedy generally refers to the treatment of difficult subjects, like death, religion, hypocrisy, crime, racism, sex, etc. with humor. Said humor can be too nuanced for some to comprehend.
Recently, a wealthy philanthropist was brutally murdered by a perp who apparently used an AR-15 to kill her.
I did a post about it and falsely assumed that the perp was a White Supremacist. I apologize for my false assumption, whether real or ironic.
But the fact that the perp was arrested in part because he shot himself in the foot, literally, made me laugh out loud. (Nuanced readers will notice that my commas are in the right places.)
"Police recovered an AR-15 rifle at that home that was believed to have been used in the shooting of Jacqueline Avant. Maynor accidentally shot himself in the foot with the gun, police said, and is being treated before he can be booked into jail."
Am I too jaded to be a MyLot member? Am I too jaded to be a child psychologist?
I'm not sure
Do you like dark comedy?

I watched Pulp Fiction. I had it on DVD until recently but then I gave it away to the Tesco book swap. I hope the person who took it appreciated it! I'm just not into that sort of thing anymore. I also gave away my DVD's of Trainspotting and T2 Trainspotting, also to the Tesco book swap. And some horror movies like Halloween and Wrong Turn. I took a DVD a week until I'd gotten rid of them all.

nothing wrong with finding ways to remove the stress of the world.
Dark comedies are often a great way for us to see the world, differently!

I am brutal on many issues, but you already know that. Religion, crime, customs, politics, you bet.
If a person says his religion is better than mine, he better make me rich and beautiful and young, INSTANTANEOUSLY with his or her faith. If he cannot, he should give others a chance to do that and prove their god is the genuine one. Performance of gods is the source of belief. Evil Grin.

I love dark comedy. I never considered Dr. Strangelove (It was released in 1964 and did you ever notice that the vast majority of the best things we have come from 1964?) to be dark.
I always saw it as a feel-good family film. Just like The Sound Of Music, only without all the annoying songs.

@xander6464 Wait. I hear "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again" when I think of Dr. Strangelove. Have I been eating too many mushrooms?
