I was researching, about ways to keep dementia & alzheimer at bay. Was intrigued, reading about the way you sleep can fend off dimentia & alhtziemers! I see. Chiropractor taught me, put leg you're resting on the bed 90° angel with top leg dangling off bed to eleviate back troubles. Now I stay on my side after doing this in for sleeping. Try & discuss it with your doctor. Hope it helps.

Well, I do not believe it is true, but surely sleeping on the left side or right side, when compared to back or stomach sleeping, help your body clear what's called interstitial waste. The link you posted is an article published 6 years ago and no one ever confirmed that this works.

They also say that sleeping on the left side is better when pregnant, because it allows blood flow to arteries that carry blood to the placenta.
