Finally! My grandson will actually eat pinto beans and corn bread which is one of my favorite winter meals. He is so finicky and likes odd things like canned/spray cheese and Mountain Dew(Ugh!). He doesn't like onions. I questioned him on that and he doesn't like them cut coarsely and not fine. I don't either. Now if I can just get him to eat a few other things that are good for him.

I have never been picky about food, but there are some things that I do not like and I do not eat.

@LadyDuck .......I had them one time that I actually was able to eat them. They were huge and lightly breaded. Delicious. I think I ate three.

How old is he? If he is below 5 he will fuss about food which most children do at this age and in their teens.

@celticeagle No doubt. At this stage children tend to fuss about food.

That's the drawback of feeding babies bland pap... real food scares them.

I don't eat any of that. Everyones taste buds is different. Shouldn't care what someone else eats or doesn't eat. Long as they're eating. Even family.

Beans and cornbread...yum! I don't like raw onions at all. Hubs can't stand them either. He will eat more things as he gets older I think. I used to be a finicky eater when I was young. Now I eat 10x more things.

Maybe that will do the trick. Just need a few years on him.

I cannot say much for onions served raw but they are always welcomed in my family when they are cooked - stewed and stir fried or deep fried (garnishes). Good luck
