It won't unfreeze in time

So I've been making cheese cream at home lately by freezing some whey and then unfreezing it. The water comes off and a solid part stays collected. I add salt and thym to that solid part and my cheese cream is ready. I got my whey out of the freezer yesterday night hoping it will be ready for today's lunch but it's still like a stone. How can I help unfreeze it quickly ? I bet the microwave is a bad idea isn't it ?

I just left it there for a whole day. I did use the upper part that was already unfrozen for lunch because I couldn't wait.

I am not sure about that ..maybe someone here will have an answer. This sounds very delicious though.

You could maybe microwave it if you put it on the defrost setting or a lower setting. That might work. Good luck, never heard of making cream cheese from whey..sounds novel. I bet it tastes very fresh.

Microwave is an option I should try !! Maybe next time. It's because whey have more proteins than the cream cheeses I have access to. So I thought maybe I should make that..

If your microwave has a defrost button that might work
