Normally if I’m up at 5 AM it’s been a long night. I fell asleep and woke up when my weather radio went off for a flash flood warning. I turned on the news app and our governor was holding a news conference. The initial estimate of dead in Kentucky from the tornadoes is between 50 and 100. To put that in perspective, the 1974 Super Outbreak, which destroyed Brandenburg KY, killed 61 in the state. Louisville (where Joy Dorsey and I live) was never under a tornado warning or even a severe thunderstorm warning. We did have high winds, though. I hope Joy checks in soon (assuming she has electricity). I am fine. Except for that gut punch of terrible news about the fatality estimates.

I'm glad you're okay. There were high winds here most of the night. (It's only 4:45 am in Missouri right now. I keep hearing stuff being blown around outside. I had to go out earlier and drag several trash bins into the yard. The wind had caught them and was taking them down the street. (I hope the neighbors don't think I was trying to steal them.)

Yeah, as we know many tornadoes hit the US at certain times, hopefully the area you live in is not passed by a violent tornado.

I know tornadoes smart enough not to mess with you two especially together. no time for bad jokes just a little feel better and hope you all safe. Out of everyone's heart aches when mother nature gets all pissed off and rages. You just do the best you can.

Thankful you are okay. Absolutely heartbroken over the loss of life and property. Prayers for all who suffered unimaginable loss. Those storms headed our way later this afternoon, though not near as potent as in your area.
