I just watched "Pig", the latest Nicolas Cage movie. Since 1981 I have watched one after another of his films and have always been entertained. Sometimes not so much and other times surprisingly so. This is definitely one of those times when "surprisingly so" doesn't give the film justice. He has made over 110 movies, and although quite a few were downright dumb, he has never not entertained me with his acting, characterization, and even humor. This last film was only 92 minutes long but each one of those minutes was entertaining. For most of the film, he spent it with shaggy long hair, dirty and sweaty clothes with blood dried on his face. But none of that mattered. It was the mind inside that dirty head and the realism that reached out and grabbed me, the audience. He was so human. His character, Robin Feld, made me think of the choices we make in life, of success, bigotry, remorse, duty, triumph, irony, and even laughter and joy. He had known love and when that love died he then loved a pig.
He has 4 more movies coming out in 2022. I enjoy many of his films and will continue to be a fan.

Yes and a movie was made as a sort of remake for this movie in Bollywood in 2003.

I enjoy his movies. A lot of them are different from the mainstream of stuff we seem to get nowadays.

Netflix. It was on where you have to have the movie sent, not sure it will go on the play from the site list.

@bunnybon7.......The reason he didn't bather was because he was determined to find his pig and didn't care about looks.

@celticeagle watched it now. It was way too sad. I couldn't figure why he didn't wash and why they could eat with him by them. yuck.

I think he is too. He is not afraid of doing the weird characters and I like him for that.

I thought so as well. But there was really very little of the pig in it. He didn't call her by any name that I recall hearing.

Did you see him in Peggy Sue Got Married? I thought that was either the weirdest actor or the weirdest character ever. I didn't like him as an actor then, but he redeemed himself when I saw him in Moonstruck.

I went through the same thing. But, then I realized he has the nerve to do those type movies and play those weird characters where others wouldn't. I think that's cool.

I have watched quite a number of his shows and I must say that his show is becoming more entertaining than before. I haven't watched this but I've watched "The Rock", "Conair", "Windtalkers","8mm", "National Treasure", "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "Bangkok Dangerous" which are pretty good and entertaining.

110 movies...Wow! I didn't realize he had made so many. I'm a fan of Nicolas; but my husband is not.
