Do-over Thanksgiving 2021

I got exposed to Covid not quite a week before Thanksgiving this year and couldn't be tested until that Friday. Thankfully I'm negative :-) However that meant mom and I had to spend Thanksgiving apart.
So we did a do over Thanksgiving a few days later. We had some easy to prepare substitutes for our usual fancier offerings. Relish tray remained the same, as did the jelly cranberries, the last pie they had at the store I got - it was "strawberry rhubarb" and was actually quite tasty, a can of cream style corn instead of our usual scalloped corn, stovedtop dressing, and this "frozen turkey" entree which was easy and fast but not the tastiest thing you've ever had.
But all the same I enjoyed the not-a-lot-of-prep-work-or cleaning and it was still a fun Thanksgiving with my momma and that makes me smile.
Have you ever had to do re-do or do overs? How did it turn out?

Well I did have only tv dinners this year for Thanksgiving. It was easy peasy this time.
I am so glad you were negative Faye.
Sorry you two had to spend it apart but you sure made up for it huh.
What a beautiful table set up there.
It looks so lovely and tasty.
Yeah I do not mind those strawberry rhubarb pies..pretty good huh.

Aw, some TV dinners are pretty good - and, less work to be sure. Did you have anyone celebrating?

I'm glad you girls had a nice dinner together. I was in the hospital with a bowel obstruction and got out the day before Thanksgiving. So we had our big dinner the next week with our son and grandson. Sure glad your test was negative.
